Heath Marrinan is FadeUp Design Group’s founder, CEO, lead lighting and production designer.


Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Heath and his team at FadeUp work with clients all over the world. They create innovative production solutions for a diverse group of clients: event planners, corporations, recording artists, churches, universities, and more.

Before forming FadeUp, Heath traveled as lighting designer, operator, or technician with some of the biggest names in music, including Primus, Blues Traveler, Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Dweezil Zappa, Harry Bellefonte, Jack Johnson, Green Day, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Switchfoot, and many others.

In 2011, with a desire to bring his concert experience to corporate events in Omaha, Nebraska, he founded FadeUp Design Group. He’s helped light up events for corporations like LinkedIn, Facebook, Google, Aflac, UNMC Hospital, Nebraska Aids Project, and the American Cancer Society of Omaha.

Heath has designed lights for some of Omaha’s most prominent attractions including Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo, Lauritzen Gardens, and Midtown Crossing.

He’s also used his experience to design and implement architectural lighting throughout Omaha. FadeUp designed and implemented lighting for Creighton University’s homecoming, which included four city blocks and the iconic St. John’s Cathedral.

FadeUp is the lighting company First National Bank of Omaha has called on to light up their skyscraper as part of the bank’s annual “Give Joy” campaign.
